This is the second annual Epic Grind Race. The race will take place at Hagg Lake located at 50250 SW Scoggins Valley Road in Gaston, Oregon. There are both a 5k and 10k option with the middle of the course being the 5k portion. The course is at beautiful Henry Hagg Lake and is mostly run on dirt and grass trails through forest and fields. There are some short roadside sections for the 10k runners and their course includes several more obstacles than the 5k’ers will get. The race takes you through beautiful forest, scenic fields and along the lake's edge in several sections. There are 19 obstacles this year so you will have to climb through, climb over, balance over, Big Hop over, climb like an old sailor, push through like a boxer, balance across like a circus acrobat, drag it along like a slave, weave through, be a hunchback, pull yourself up and Bang that Gong, tug a boat, walk on water and get over a floppy tired wall. You can enjoy a complementary microbrew beer in your Epic Grind Pint Glass that comes with your race entry. Then cool down with some food, good music and a maybe win some cool stuff provided by our generous sponsors in our raffles throughout the day.
This year the Epic Grind is supporting Doctors Without Borders, with a portion of both sponsor donations and race participant's fees going to this cause.
